  1. Hi John

I'm one of the author's of Cicerone's GR7 in Andalucia guide. We are just in the process of writing a new edition and we are off to Andalucia next week to walk all the bits that have changed/need updating.

We came across your brilliant blog and I've just been reading through your adventures.

I thought I'd get in touch with you and Juan as the experts on all things E4/GR7 to see if you have time to pass on any comments/wise words/corrections that might be useful to us?

    thanks and happy walking!

    Michelle

    1. Hi Michelle, great to hear from you and thanks for you're kind comments. Sorry that I have been a bit slow coming back to you but I have been away in Nepal.

You book was excellent, a real inspiration and a help. Keeping it up to date must be like painting the Forth Bridge.

Have some annotations on the Southern stretch which someone sent to me which I will sent onto you - best wishes John

  2. hi John
Sorry - I only just found your reply. It would be great to have a look at your annotations. Were they from Ivan and Sue? We have lots of helpful comments from them.

    Your Nepal trip looks amazing!

    1. Hi Michelle - it was Ivan and Sue so you might have them already. If you let me have an email address I will forward them to you anyway and there are a couple of other things that you might not have picked yet.

      Best wishes

  3. Hi John, I am a greek woman who used to walk a lot. I found your blog very lately when I was seeking information about E4 walking. Congratulations about your blog and your adventures. You seem to be a high performance trekker and a very experienced one. I am thinking of doing E4 from Tarifa to Crete (Greece) and I found your data very useful. Do you believe that is safe for a woman to do it alone?
    Best regards

  4. Hi Vaya

Nice to hear from you and thanks for your kind comments about my blog. I think it's safe for a solo woman to do the trip and I've been contacted by several woman who have done at least part of it. The most accomplished solo walker is a German, Christine Thürmer and if you Google her you'll find her. I would contact her direct and get some advice from her.

    Best wishes

    John
